The
Problem
with
Jon
Stewart.
Expanding on counter culture DIY press aesthetics, the visual identity of The Problem reinforces its voice in addressing contemporary social issues aggressively and holding gatekeepers accountable. The quick and dirty visual style and fast paced motion intensify the urgency of the show’s message. Speak truth to power and question the status quo.
The visual design system
for a call to action.
Channeling the provocative and energetic, independently produced graphics of punk subculture, we created a visual system that supports the shows’ mission, confronts the audience, encourages critical evaluation, and motivates us to initiate change.
Asymmetrical compositions, tape, newsprint clippings, uneven baselines, and stray printing artifacts are intentionally placed to impress upon the audience the immediacy and gravity of the information displayed.
These irregular details are evidence of a necessity to move expediently when questioning authority and challenging firmly held belief systems.
This intentional randomization and erratic motion is carefully designed to maintain identity and draw focus when necessary while allowing for data to be absorbed clearly and effectively.
The language of dissent.
Adhering to a structure and maintaining hierarchy while preserving the shows’ identity was crucial to organizing large amounts of supporting data.
Procedural templates were developed using Essential Graphics to expedite and randomize fine details while keeping the artists hand visible.
Fully automated lower thirds that populate from a text file, charts, world and us maps that can be designed and rendered within minutes, and fine control over the placement of elements and editing of text without leaving the main composition.
Order out of chaos.

Beat
the
Street.
A visual narrative that captures the spirit and pace of New York City.
"Beat The Street" is a live game show that brings New York City Street spontaneity to the world of competitive trivia. Random New Yorkers face off against an online audience in real-time, testing their knowledge and completing challenges to win cash prizes. Shot live in New York, this show combines the unpredictability of street-level encounters with the unpredictability of online interactions.

The graphics package is designed to immerse the audience into the landscape of NYC using familiar infrastructural elements to subtly convey the core themes of competition, urgency, and opportunity. Each sequence was crafted to provoke the viewer but also to evoke the spirit of The City. Where anything can happen at any moment.

Integrating graphics into the fabric of NYC, we blur the line between the game and reality, creating a sense that the city itself is calling out to you, challenging you to play.

Stunt
Sports
Social
Network
Refresh
Concept.
A Mosaic of Fans, Perspectives, and Contemporary Sports Culture.
Stunt is a social media platform designed exclusively for sports fans and personalities to connect. A concept for a brand refresh was to showcase the broad spectrum of users, their perspectives, and the vibrant discourse on sports culture within Stunt. Through juxtaposition and transposition of sports imagery in various graphic styles, we captured the unique spirit of this online community. The dynamic interaction of fast-paced wipes, sharp cuts, shifting graphic styles, and visual comparisons mirror the passionate exchange of ideas and information on the platform.
Stunt is not just about following sports, but about immersing oneself in the community and celebrating the richness and fervor of sports culture at large. This concept was a reflection of that interplay between individuals and ideas.

Beat
the
Buffalo.
Game On with March Madness
and Buffalo Wild Wings.
In collaboration with Buffalo Wild Wings for their "Beat the Buffalo" competition during March Madness, we created a motion graphics package for their social media event. The concept accompanied a live-stream of a real buffalo picking an NCAA bracket, while fans submitted their own predictions for a chance at Final Four tickets and other prizes.
Drawing inspiration from modern network sports broadcasts, we created a fast-paced, tongue-in-cheek, immersive visual experience that resonated with sports enthusiasts and social media audiences across all major platforms and perfectly encapsulated the Buffalo Wild Wings brand.
